1963 Lambretta LI 125 S3

Ecco come tutto è cominciato.

Here is how all started. This Lambretta has been with me since 1982 when I swopped my Piaggio 'Sì' moped for it with the local mechanic where she was lying semi-abandoned in one angle of his shop. Those where the days when this or that model wasn't a issue, it was just a matter of riding around looking like a 60's Mod. Since then she has seen a lot of adventures and different versions until, in 2010, I decided it was time to bring it back to its former glory. To say it all the intention was to have it restored by her 30th Anniversary with me in 2012 but let's say times have been hard so I have find time and motivation to complete it in August 2014. Amongst the amount of good memories connected with this scooter I can remember the year past together during my military service in 1986 when she allowed me to move freely while I was away from home, the Yugoslavian holiday in 1989, the fact that she has been the guinea pig for my first mechanical experiments. It might be for these reasons that she started again at the second kick and has immediately shown to be one of those engines you get right at first. It's not a missle but that wasn't the intention she has been restored for. Features a standard 175 barrel with Borgo conversion piston, DL/GP crankshaft and Ducati points ignition. Over the years I had collected a few accessories to compliment it like Falbo footboard extensions, Super 'Flag series' side panels embellishers, Ulma legshields mirror, Catalux rear light gem and Conti exhaust. That's all she is now ready to ride on the streets again, it's been fa real emotion riding her again after all thos years!
