​Racing Lambrettas

Siamo così giunti alla mia seconda partecipazione al tour. Per questa edizione gli organizzatori hanno optato di pernottare entrambe le serate nello stesso albergo a Moena (per chi non la conoscesse una chicca delle Dolomiti). Dal punto di vista logistico una scelta molto funzionale, dal punto di vista turistico abbiamo comunque percorso strade completamente differenti che come al solito ci hanno portato a vedere scenari incredibili. Il ritrovo era a Nervesa della Battaglia presso la sede di TV Scooter Garage degli amici Fabio ed Alan e la prima sosta è stata Belluno presso la sede del birrificio Padavena. Durante l'inverno ho optato per un cambio del gruppo termico, montando il kit CPone che sto di fatto testando seriamente per la prima volta. La risposta è ottima, velocità di crociera notevole senza alcun tentennamento. Di quì via verso il Passo Rolle ad oltre duemila metri, dove la carburazione del Lui inizia ad andare a ramengo e poi via verso Moena. Giorno due e dopo vari saliscendi e la sosta per il pranzo, attacchiamo il passo Fedaia, credo una delle strade più ripide che abbia mai visto, infatti sorpasso diversi partecipanti con il Lui standard che arrancano per arrivare in vetta. Fa un caldo terribile nonostante l'altitudine; il giorno dopo si verificherà la terribile slavina di cui tutti abbiamo letto. La sera altra mega festa nei locali dell'albergo dove i gestori, gentilissimi, non solo ci lasciano far cagnara ma anzi partecipano alla festa. Si riparte la mattina dopo per il ritorno a Nervesa e man mano che si scende dalla montagna il Lui piano piano riprende possesso delle proprie prestazioni. Il caldo è allucinante, ma si torna felici di un altro tour completato in grande compagnia.

So this is my second entry to the tour. This edition the organizers have chosen to stay both nights in the same hotel in Moena (for those who don't know it's a peach in the middle of the Dolomiti mountains). From a logistic point of view a very functional choice and we have been equally able to make different routes and find ourselves surrounded by fantastic scenarios. The meeting for the start was in Nervesa della Battaglia at the headquarters of  TV Scooter of my fellow friends Fabio and Alan and the first stop has been in Belluno at the birrificio Pedavena. Over the winter I have opted to fit a CPone kit which I am seriously testing right now. The response is excellent, remarkable cruising speed no trouble or whatsoever. From here up the Rolle Pass which is over 2000 meters, where my Lui carburation starts to go tits up and then down to Moena for the night. Day two sees us going up and down until lunch, after which we attach the Fedaia Pass which I believe is one of the steepest roads I have ever done, in fact I overtake a few partecipants with standard Lui's limping to get to the peak. The heat is terrible despite the altitude; the following day the avalanche disaster we have all heard of, will happen. The evening second mega party in the hotel where the managers, very kind, not only let us do it but also take part in it. We leave the following morning for our trip back to Nervesa, as we go down from the mountains my Lui takes possession of its performance again. The heat is ever worse, but we come back home happy for another great tour completed in great company.
