This is my last find, a wonderful condition Lambretta B. Now under the spanners for a complete sympathetic restoration with a retro 'sports' look, pics and updates as we go through. So far, February 2023 we are more or less at the stage you see here below. The engine has been quite a complicated thing but it was in overall very good condition so apart from bearings and seals, piston rings, points and condensor, clutch and bits and bobs have have re-used most parts I had stripped. The most difficult part is using new parts, as most don't fit or are not of use (i.e. the crankshaft holding nut I bought had the base too big and didn't allow the crank to completely turn inside the casing). Putting together the front end is absolutely a hell of a job, you have to compress the suspension springs to fit the front end and at the same time you have to fit other parts. Love it!

Questo è il mio ultimo ritrovamento, una Lambretta B in condizioni fantastiche. Al momento in fase di restauro conservativo, le darò un look sportivo, foto ed aggiornamenti man mano che sarà eseguito. Al momento, Febbraio 2023 sono più o meno al punto che vedete quì sotto. Il motore è abbastanza complicato ma era tutto sommato in ottime condizioni, quind a parte cuscinetti e paraoli, fasce pistone, puntine e condensatore, frizione ed altri piccoli accorgimenti ho riutilizzato gran parte di quello che avevo smontato. La parte più complicata è usare ricambi nuovi, in quanto quasi mai combaciano con gli originali o si riescono a montare (ad esempio la vite che unisce l'albero motore era troppo larga ed impediva a questo di girare perchè toccava nel carter). Rimontare la parte anteriore è un lavoro complicato, bisogna comprimere le molle della sospensione mentre si monta la parte frontale e nello stesso tempo bisogna tenere qualcos'altro. Adoro queste cose!
